Trench Ghosts, Coast to Coast!

So I’ve been meaning to make it out to one of the District of the Damned bash/bashes- where they bash a set of minis for a small skirmish game, then run demo games for people! I always seem to be out of town.

But finally, they were hosting one at Game Kastle, that I was actually in town for! So I gathered some world war I bits and some skellingtons, along with a few 40k bits, to submit to the bits god!

They had a couple tables set up and a wonderful bin with a big pile of sprues. It was an awesome community vibe, amping each other up and offering real time advice and feedback. I was having so much fun building I forgot to play a game. There will be time for that later!

While I find World War I morbidly fascinating, I haven’t been gripped by Trench Crusade fever- perhaps too grim and gritty even for me. But reading the lore, trench ghosts sparked some vibes of something kind of goofy but kind of spooky in my brain. And I thought back to some awesome necropolis minis I saw at BYOL this year, which were very inspiring. It may have been Ramshackle Games (I dont remember, sorry), but he used spray sealing foam to make sweet flame undead. I figured I could use the same thing for g-g-g-g-ghosts! Yikes Scooby!

Gathering the tools and materials, after returning home from the bash.

It’s a fence sir. A Barbed wire fence.

The minis I bashed with the DotD folks, with some barbed wire added!

And fun with spray foam! I just sprayed it out, then kinda spread it on with a sculpting tool, then set it aside to dry. Wear gloves!

Final products for now! Hopefully will get some paint on them soon.
