Back in the 6th edition Orc and Goblins army book, GW went ahead and introduced Grimgor Ironhide- the new badass orc on the block. Having started playing in the fun and cartoony days of 5th edition, this was a definite turn towards the grimdark and away from Grom the Paunch and the more fun fellows of the 90s.
I, of course, had to get Grimgor as a leader for my 6th edition army. It sure helped that he was a pretty solid special character back in the day. I had sort of half-painted him, but not to any particularly great level (like most of my orcs). So a few years ago I revisited him, reprimed him, and got a more modern paint job on there- nothing spectacular but good to go.
He’s seen action in Mordheim recently, but perhaps someday I will reassemble my rank and flank O&Gs for some battling…
